1. Late Seating
If you are late to the theater, expect to be held in the lobby until an appropriate moment in the plays’ action during which you can be seated. The timing of that hold is dictated by each individual play’s director.
After that hold, the Geffen’s House Management will seat you in the seat you purchased if you are in row E or above. Patrons who are late and seated in rows D, C, B and A will be seated in seats in the rear of the orchestra, per availability.
Patrons who leave the theater during the show for any reason may also be held in the lobby before returning to their seats.

2. Accessible Seating
The Geffen Playhouse is fully committed to ensuring a satisfying theater experience for patrons requiring accessible seating.
If you will be requiring accessible accommodations during your next visit to the theater, please call (310) - 208 -5454 in advance so that it can be assured that all of your needs will be met.
The main stage and Audrey Skirbal Kenis theaters are both equipped with semi-ambulatory seating, as well as fully demountable seats. This accessible seating is available at a variety of different price levels.
In addition, those sitting in accessible seats during performances featuring special post-show discussions, such as Talk Back Tuesdays, will have seating closer to the stage made available to them by an usher.

3. Services for the Hearing Impaired
Infrared listening devices are available from the concierge desk in the inside lobby. A driver’s license or state ID is required; units subject to availability.
To experience a sign-interpreted performance, one performance of each regular season main-stage production is offered to interested audience members on the following dates at 2:00pm:

5. Lost Tickets
Replacement tickets are available by calling (310) 208-5454. Please have your billing information available when calling.
Replacement tickets are held at Will-Call and cannot be mailed.

6. Child Seating
If you would like your child to experience the wonders of theater, the Geffen offers Saturday Scene, imaginative, adventurous productions for families.
Though there are no restrictions to bringing a child to a main stage show, it is asked that before doing so the content of the play, fellow audience members, and the actors performing be taken into consideration.

7. Gift Certificates
Gift certificates can purchased by phone or in person at the Geffen Box Office window in any desired amount. For your calculations, the average-priced ticket is $50.00, so certificates should be purchased accordingly.
Gift certificates can be mailed directly to the recipient. If that is desired, please have their mailing information handy.

Frequently Asked Questions about Exchanges
Do you charge a fee to exchange tickets?
Every subscriber is allowed one exchange request per show at no cost. Any further exchange requests will be charged $2.50 per ticket.
How late can I exchange my tickets?
Ticket exchanges must be made at least 24- hours prior to the date of the performance printed on your ticket. Please note that exchanges can only be done within the same run of the show of your original tickets.
Why do you need 24- hours notice?
Time is needed to process your request as well as to re-circulate the seats.
Can I be guaranteed that I will get my same seats?
Unfortunately, the constraints of seating volume do not allow the Geffen to guarantee seat location. When transacting an exchange, the Box Office staff will do their utmost to find the best seats available, however the constraints of seating volume do not allow the Geffen to guarantee seat location. You will be contacted if the dates requested have no availability.
Why am I paying more for my exchanged tickets?
The Geffen’s ticket pricing structure varies depending on day and time of performance and seating location. You may be requesting a new show date with the only seating available in a higher pricing structure than your original subscription.
Unfortunately, the Geffen cannot offer a refund for exchanging higher priced tickets for less expensive tickets.
