Subscriber Ticket Exchange Policies
Only subscribers are allowed to exchange tickets, and must be handled at least 24 hours prior to the ticketed date.

To request an exchange:

By Phone: Call the subscriber hotline at 310.208.2028 and will be happy to help you exchange your tickets. The subscribe hotline is open weekdays from 10am-6pm and closed on major holidays.

Please have your tickets in hand, along with your account number and a few different dates in mind that you would like to exchange into.

In Person: To complete an exchange in person, bring your tickets to the box office window during designated business hours, and a box office staff member will be happy to complete an exchange for you. The box office is open 12pm-6pm daily and closed on major holidays.

Please be aware that exchanges or future sales can’t be processed at the box office window one hour prior to curtain.

By FAX:
Tickets must be cut in half. Make a photocopy of it, and then FAX your request to the box office at 310.208.8383.
By Mail: To complete an exchange by mail, send the tickets you’d like exchanged. Once the exchange has been processed, if there are at least 10 or more days before the new show time, the new tickets will be mailed back free of charge. Otherwise, they will be held at Will-Call.

Please keep in mind that the original tickets must be received at least 24 hours prior to the current show date printed on your ticket.

Is it possible to buy more tickets outside of my subscription?
Absolutely, and subscribers get a 15% discount on most shows! Call the box office at 310.208.5454 for more details.

How do I donate my tickets?
Simply call the Box Office at 310.208.5454 before the start of your show, and then mail the donated tickets back to us. A receipt will be mailed to you within 4 - 6 weeks for your tax records.

Frequently Asked Questions about Exchanges

Do you charge a fee to exchange tickets?
There are no fees associated with subscriber exchange requests.  However, if you are exchanging into a more expensive performance, you will be responsible for the difference in ticket cost. 

How late can I exchange my tickets?
We prefer that ticket exchange requests are made at least 24 hours prior to the date of the performance printed on your ticket.  Please note that exchanges can only be done within the same run of the show of your original tickets.  Ticket exchanges are subject to availability.

Why do you prefer 24 hours notice?
Time is needed to process your request as well as to re-circulate the seats.

Can I be guaranteed that I will get my same seats?
Unfortunately, the constraints of seating volume do not allow the Geffen to guarantee seat location. When transacting an exchange, the Box Office staff will do their utmost to find the best seats available, however the constraints of seating volume do not allow the Geffen to guarantee seat location. You will be contacted if the dates requested have no availability.

Why am I paying more for my exchanged tickets?
The Geffen’s ticket pricing structure varies depending on day and time of performance and seating location. You may be requesting a new show date with the only seating available in a higher pricing structure than your original subscription.

Unfortunately, the Geffen cannot offer a refund for exchanging higher priced tickets for less expensive tickets.
