GEFFEN’S STAGE FOR ANY AGE
The Geffen’s Stage for Any Age seeks to make the cultural resources of the Geffen Playhouse available to all of Los Angeles’ diverse communities. Our programs for students, seniors, and underserved populations are designed to stimulate the intellect, imagination, and creative spirit. To increase access to the theater experience, activities are carried out on site as well as in neighborhoods, schools, social service agencies, and community centers throughout Los Angeles.
Each season the Geffen Playhouse serves over 20,000 students and community members through our school based and community events.

This year, we're kicking off the season with our "
It Is Easy Being Green
" contest, where kids can submit their own special tip on how they're being more enviromentally friendly accompanied by their artistic interpretation of Apolo (all mediums from crayons to paint are welcome). Judges will be artistic professionals from the staff and Community. Winners will receive four tickets to Disneyland plus complimentary parking, as well as having their artwork proudly displayed on the Geffen website for everyone to see. The contest will be divided into two categories, kids ages 2 - 6 and kids ages 7 - 12, and a winner will be chosen from each category. The contest will launch on November 8th, with submissions through December 31st. Submissions may be sent to the Educaion Department at the Geffen Playhouse or submitted in person at the theater. Winners will be announced before the performance of our first show of 2009, Will & Company's
