STORY PIRATES CLASSES

Everyone Gets A Song
Ages 3 months to 3 years (accompanied by caregiver)
This class runs for 45 minutes

The Story Pirates know that every child has a story to tell, even toddlers. That's why every kid gets their own original song for this musical storytelling class. Join us for sing-a-longs, storytelling, puppet shows and playtime. Using themes from kids' own worlds as the source of material, this class organically builds language skills and developmental connections. We'll send you an MP3 of your child's song as well as their classmates' so that you can sing along at each class. Written, developed and taught by the Story Pirates. Each class meets once a week. Superhero Training
Ages 5-7 years
(caregivers are asked to drop-off child - no caregiver accompaniment allowed)
This class runs for 45 minutes

Every kid dreams of becoming a superhero. This class gives your child all the tools to get started!  Students will create their own original hero, decide on a super power, go on adventures, make costumes, and track it all in their very own own comic books! Storytelling, theater and visual arts are all ways kids will explore how their heroes can defeat villains and save the world, while the Story Pirates help them develop a supernatural knack for imaginative, nonviolent problem solving. Bad guys, beware: these boys and girls are heavily armed with creative ideas!

Secret Agent Spy Training
Ages 7-9 years
(caregivers are asked to drop-off child - no caregiver accompaniment allowed)
This class runs for 45 minutes

Your kids become time travelers, masters of disguise and code breakers in this exhilarating workshop series for girls and boys alike that stealthily builds theater, writing and art skills.  You see, the Story Pirates are double agents, both talented actors and expert teachers, slyly instilling literacy-building lessons under the guise of puzzles, riddles, and pure play.  Enroll your child today before the secret get out: available slots in this class could disappear at any minute!

Comedy Camp
Ages 5-8 years old
(caregivers are asked to drop-off child - no caregiver accompaniment allowed)
This class runs from 10am-2pm Monday through Friday the week of April 4, 2011

Story Pirates Comedy Camp is the perfect antidote to the spring break blahs. Our students spend all week developing and performing their funniest stories while honing their creative writing skills. For five hilarious, creative (and secretly educational) spring days, we have more fun than you can shake a stick at in our safe, nurturing environment. We conclude each session with a Friday afternoon performance where the kids show all their funny work. Parents and friends are all welcome!
