Lights Up
Lights Up is a season-long, interactive exploration and analysis of live theater for those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience world-class theater. Conducted in close partnership with community and social service groups, Lights Up provides non-traditional theater goers with customized workshops, complimentary performance tickets, and post-show discussion groups.
The Geffen Playhouse is currently accepting applications for this outreach initiative. The Lights Up program will continue its commitment to engaging with and within populations who, due to a measure of disadvantage, have the least access to the arts. Lights Up will provide theater experiences that enhance quality of life, inspire creativity and imagination, and foster positive social interaction.
